Justin started with Northwestern Mutual as an intern in 1995. He graduated from Illinois State University with a double major in Marketing and Business Administration/IS in 1996. He transitioned from Intern to full-time with Northwestern Mutual in June 1996. Over his 26-year career at Northwestern Mutual, Justin has built a team that is focused on serving clients. Justin is a Lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has been a Top of the Table (TOT) member since 2011. Justin is married to his Highschool sweetheart and they have 4 children. Justin and family enjoy golfing, traveling, and Illini sporting events.

Brian has been in the financial services arena since 2000. Working with companies regarding their retirement plans is his primary focus with the Kirby Wealth Management Team. Since 2006, Brian has been Director of Retirement Plans for Kirby Wealth Management Group. Brian also works with businesses to help them understand their group benefits. He is insurance and investment licensed in several states, as well as having his Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He also holds the Qualified Plan Fiduciary Consultant designation.

Brian is active in the community through Special Olympics Illinois, Champaign School’s iCount program and his church. He also enjoys golf, volunteering, and travel with his family.

Carrie has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2012 and joined Kirby Wealth Management Group as an affiliated partner in 2024. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Psychology in 2003 and holds her Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Agriculture Focused Financial Planning (AFFP) designations. Carrie is the co-founder of a women’s networking event locally and is an advocate for women in business. She and her husband Chad have three active boys. When she is not working you can find her on whatever sports field is in season.

Rich graduated from the University of Illinois College of Business in 2008 with a degree in Finance with High Honors. He started working for Justin as an intern in January 2008. Following graduation, he started full-time in January 2009. Rich has his Series 7 and 66, life and health licenses and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. Rich’s primary responsibilities include analyzing and monitoring investments and developing financial plans for clients. Rich is a lifelong resident of the Champaign-Urbana area. In his free time, Rich enjoys playing golf, tennis and spending time with his wife Kaitlyn and daughters Mila and Sophie.

Trevor joined Kirby Wealth Management Group in 2024. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 2024 with a degree in Agri-Accounting while also meeting the Financial Planning degree requirements. Trevor is from Ashkum, IL but has lived in Champaign since 2021. He enjoys golfing, fishing, spending time with family, and Illinois sports.

Noah joined Kirby Wealth Management Group as an Intern in February 2022. He is currently attending the University of Illinois and is studying Finance in the Gies College of Business. Noah has lived in Champaign for all his life. He enjoys golfing in his free time, and he is an avid Illini sports and racing fan.

Alanson joined Kirby Wealth Management Group in 2022. He graduated from Indiana State University in May 2022 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Sales and Negotiation. Alanson is from Paris, IL. but has lived in a variety of places during his college career. He enjoys running, golfing, cycling, pickleball and spending times with friends and family.

Stephanie has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2000 and joined Justin Kirby’s team in October 2006. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 2003 with a degree in Finance. Stephanie is life and health licensed and has passed the Series 6, 7, 26, 63, and 66 exams, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys bowling, traveling with family, and attending her kids’ activities and sporting events.

Taylor joined Justin’s team in July 2019 shortly after graduating from Illinois State University in May 2019. She received a degree in Finance, along with a degree in Accounting. Taylor is life and health insurance licensed. Taylor has lived in the Champaign-Urbana area for all her life. She enjoys playing disc golf, kayaking, and spending time with family.

Tosha joined Kirby Wealth Management Group in May of 2022. Prior to joining the Kirby Wealth Management Team, she was employed with the United States Postal Service for 25 years. Tosha has been eager to begin a new life endeavor and tackle goals with Kirby Wealth Management Group. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her two children at their sporting events.

Jill came to us with over 35 years of banking experience. Outside of work, she enjoys bowling and traveling.

Denise joined Kirby Wealth Management Group as the Chief Operating Officer in January 2021. Prior to taking this exciting position she was an audit partner at a local public accounting firm that she was with for 36 years. Denise provided her clients with complete business and management services. This not only included the standard audit and tax work but succession and growth planning. Denise also served as an adjunct audit professor at the University of Illinois for the past 5 years. She has 7 kids including twin boys and 10 grandchildren. Denise enjoys Illini sports and the Cubs, skiing, and white-water rafting.

Bonnie joined Kirby Wealth Management Group in July of 2022 as our Administrative Assistant and has transitioned to include Marketing and Event Planning for the business within her job. Bonnie came to us with over 25 years of customer service and office experience. Outside of work, Bonnie enjoys volunteering with various local non-profit organizations as well as her son's school, nature adventures and is an avid dog lover.

Rick is our Planning Manager. Rick joined Kirby Wealth Management Group in October of 2021 as a Planning Manager. Before joining our team, he was a Vice President with a prominent retirement plan administration firm. Rick was a senior member on that firm’s team for 20 years. He has over 30 years of experience in retirement plans, including several years with a major Midwest bank holding company that offered corporate trustee services to retirement plan sponsors. Rick and his wife have lived in and near Champaign since 1979. He and his wife are very active in their church and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and anything outdoors, especially boating, sightseeing and anything ILLINI.
